Hallo Whisk(e)y Enthusiasten oder alle die es noch werden wollen. Es ist mir eine besondere Freude in meinem heutigen Blog über den Chichibu 2009 Warrior No. 1 mit Cask # 2369 zu schreiben.
Hello Whisk(e)y enthusiasts or anyone who wants to become one. It's a special pleasure for me to write in my blog today about the Chichibu 2009 Warrior No. 1 with Cask # 2369.
Dieser Tropfen wurde 2009 destilliert und bis Juni 2013 in einem Puncheon Sherry Fass und danach 4 Jahre bis Februar 2017 in franzsösischen Weißwein Fass gefinisht.
This drop was distilled in 2009 and finished in a Puncheon Sherry barrel until June 2013 and then in a French white wine barrel for 4 years until February 2017.
Wie mir aus sicherer Quelle bekannt ist handelte es sich um ein Weißweinfass des bekannten Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte aus Frankreich.
As I know from certain sources it was a white wine barrel of the famous Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte from France.
Aus der Einzelfassabfüllung wurden 265 Flaschen von dem Dram exklusiv für japanwhiskys.com & whiskytempel.de abgefüllt so das sich der Ausgabepreis in kürzester Zeit schon verdoppelt hat und deshalb bei Sammlern heiß begehrt ist.
From the single barrel filling 265 bottles were filled by the Dram exclusively for japanwhiskys.com & whiskytempel.de so that the issue price has doubled in no time and is therefore highly sought after by collectors.
Außerdem hat sie nicht nur eine wie üblich Karton als Verpackung sondern ist zusätzlich mit einer schönen Holzbox ausgestattet das einen Samurai mit einen Whiskyglas abbildet.
Furthermore it has not only a cardboard box as packaging as usual but is also equipped with a nice wooden box that shows a samurai with a whisky glass.
Der Whisky hat eine Fassstärke von 61,9% Vol. und wurde in 700ml Gebinde abgefüllt.
The whisky has a barrel strength of 61.9% vol. and was bottled in 700ml containers.
Viele andere einschließlich meiner einer würden sich wünschen das es bald einen Nachfolger geben wird und ich bin mir sicher das sich die Macher wieder etwas außergewöhnliches einfallen lassen werden.
Many others including mine would wish that there would be a successor soon and I am sure that the makers will come up with something extraordinary again.

Der Geruch: Frische Lindenblüten, Pfirsich und zarte Weinnoten
Finally the Tasting Notes
The smell: Fresh lime blossoms, peach and delicate wine notes.
Der Geschmack: Er erzeugt ein öliges Mundgefühl das am Anfang die florale, grasige Note im Vordegrund stehen lässt.
Dann folgen die Weinaromen mit den Pfirsich und Mirabellen ein schönes Zusammenspiel ergeben.
Zusätzlich ensteht noch eine leichte Bitterkeit die an Grapefruits erinnern.
The taste: It creates an oily mouthfeel that initially leaves the floral, grassy note in the foreground.
Then the wine aromas follow with the peach and mirabelle plums a beautiful interplay.
In addition, there is a slight bitterness reminiscent of grapefruit.
Und zu guter Letzt noch der Abgang:
Er bleibt auf jeden Fall lang und öllig mit einer frischen Sirupsüße und einem Hauch von Mentholnuancen bevor am Ende wieder die zarte Bitterkeit von Graipefruits und wie man sie von grünem Tee kennt übrig bleibt.
And last but not least, the exit:
It remains in any case long and oily with a fresh syrup sweetness and a hint of menthol nuances before the delicate bitterness of grapefruit and green tea remains at the end.
