In 1985 Honbo Shuzo founded the Shinshu Distillery and in 1992, after only 7 years, production was stopped again due to the catastrophic market situation. Reopening was in 2011 and the first single malt was released in 2014 under the name Komagatage
At present there are several variation bottles depending on the place of aging, since there is not only the Shinshu Distillery, but also the Tsunuki Distillery and the Yakushima Aging Cellar.
1985 gründete Honbo Shuzo die Shinshu-Destillerie wurde 1992 nach nur 7 Jahre später aufgrund der katastrophalen Marktlage die Produktion wieder eingestellt. Wiedereröffnung war dann 2011 und der erste Single Malt kam dann 2014 unter dem Namen Komagatage raus
