All Japanese distilleries emulated the Scottish model in whisky production and remained faithful to these methods.

This Chichibu Newborn Hogshead and Mizunara whisky reaches cask strength with an alcohol content of 63.3% by volume.
It was neither chill-filtered nor colored. In total, it was allowed to mature for about 10 months.
Of course, it can be said that the whisky is quite young.
But since it is part of the Chichibu Newborn series, it will certainly be highly sought after by collectors in the future.

Dieser Chichibu Newborn Hogshead and Mizunara Whisky erreicht mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 63,3 % Volumen Fassstärke.
Er wurde weder kühlgefiltert noch coloriert. Insgesamt konnte er etwa 10 Monate heranreifen.
Natürlich lässt sich feststellen, dass der Whisky recht jung ist.
Da er aber Teil der Chichibu Newborn-Serie ist, wird er sicher auch in Zukunft bei Sammlern sehr begehrt sein.

Tasting Notes
- Nose: Light yellow with hints of orange. Very lively aroma with a large percentage of alcohol in the foreground. Added aromas of butter-flavored sweets, sandalwood and a spice not so easy to assign. Later aromas of crème brûlée and sweet cereals appear.
- Palate: Very thick, chewy and malty. Flavors of nuts and again sweet cereal are complemented by sharp oak. The alcohol burns a bit here.
- Finish: Medium-long finish with strong notes of oak and alcohol.
Tasting Notes
- Nase: Hellgelb mit einem Hauch von Orange. Sehr lebhafter Duft mit einem großen Anteil Alkohol im Vordergrund. Hinzu kommen Aromen von Süßigkeiten mit Buttergeschmack, Sandelholz und ein nicht so einfach zuzuordnendes Gewürz. Später treten Aromen von Crème Brûlée und süßem Getreide hinzu.
- Gaumen: Sehr dickflüssig, zäh und malzhaltig. Aromen von Nüssen und wiederum süßem Getreide werden von scharfer Eiche ergänzt. Der Alkohol brennt hier etwas.
- Abgang/Finish: Mittellanger Abgang mit starken Noten von Eiche und Alkohol.
